How to Backflush
- Insert the blind filter in portafilter and add up to 1/2 teaspoon (3 g) of Cafiza Powder.
- Insert the portafilter into group head. Run brew cycle for 10 seconds. Stop for 10 seconds. Repeat 5 times.
- Remove the portafilter and run a brew cycle and rinse the portafilter.
- Reinsert the portafilter without cleaning powder. Turn on brew cycle for 10 seconds. Stop for 10 seconds. Repeat 5 times.
- Replace the blind filter with standard basket and pour an espresso shot to remove any last traces of cleaner.
Discard this espresso. Do not drink.
How to Clean Parts and Accessories
- Add 6 g of powder for every liter of hot water.
- Place part in the cleaning solution. If cleaning a portafilter, don't submerge the handle.
- Allow the part to soak for 30 minutes.
- Remove the part and rinse thoroughly with fresh water.
