Privam – Kenya

An exceptional family operation on the slopes of Mount Kenya, and a proud Direct Trade partner. Privam Estate is led by Rita and Patrick Mukundi and supported by their extended family. They follow a polyculture system with macadamia and coffee plants which improve their crop and soil health.
The heavy green foliage of the macadamia trees allows the smaller SL-28, SL-34, and Batian coffee plants to slowly develop their bright, fruity features. In our third year of partnership, we always enjoy the lingering finish and classic Kenyan fruitiness that punctuates their coffee.
