People & Place

Jean Faleiros, Fazenda Eldorado

The Faleiros family have grown coffee in Alta Mogiana for more than 100 years, and Jean carries that innovation forward at Fazenda Eldorado. Via Umida, their custom processing station, controls every stage from cherry to dry, alongside the world's largest suspended patio, where beans dry slowly and never pass 35°C.

This meticulous control results in the highest quality beans and the ability to create unique flavour profiles

The Land

Alta Mogiana, Minas Gerais, Brazil

The Alta Mogiana region is situated in northeast São Paulo, near the border with Minas Gerais. It's characterized by higher altitudes compared to the surrounding regions, which contributes to its unique climate and fertile soil.

The combination of its elevated terrain, favourable climate, rich soil, and a long-standing tradition of coffee cultivation has contributed to its reputation as a premier coffee-growing region.
